How I Met Your Mother Synopsis

The Ted Mosby of the future (the voice of Bob Saget) has been telling his kids the long-winded story of how he and their mother met, and it’s been going on for four seasons and counting.

In the present, Ted (Josh Radnor) is a young architect living in New York City with a fun group of friends whose stories are acted out in sitcom format. It’s not clear who Ted will end up with, or if he has even met his future wife yet.

Future-Ted narrates the exploits of his friends: the strained relationship between Marshall (Jason Segal) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan), the misadventures of ladies’ man Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), and his own on again, off again relationship with Robin (Cobie Smulders).
