Fate/Zero Synopsis

The anime Fate/Zero is based on the novel written by Gen Urobuchi and illustrated by Takashi Takeuchi.

Fate/Zero follows the Holy Grail War, a contest where seven heroic spirits compete for miraculous powers.

After three prior wars did not result in a winner Fate/Zero follows the fourth attempt at the war.
