Emily Owens, M.D. is a comedy drama television series produced by the CW that premiered in October of 2012.

Emily Owens, M.D. is American TV dramedy following the life and job of Emily Owens (played by Mamie Gummer), a first-year hospital intern. Emily faces her high school traumas all over again when she finds herself working with her former nemesis Cassandra (played by Aja Naomi King) and her old crush Will (played by Justin Hartley).
