Dexter Synopsis
Dexter Morgan is not your ordinary serial killer. The titular character of Showtime’s critically-acclaimed series spends his days putting criminals behind bars as a blood spatter analysis for the Miami police department. His nights are spent putting even more criminals in their watery graves.
Dexter’s twisted code of morality and justice was instilled in him by his now-deceased adoptive father Harry, a police officer who recognized early sociopathic tendencies in Dexter. Not willing to write him off but believing there was no way to stop the inevitable, Harry taught Dexter to only kill those who deserve it.
Dexter tries to keep his dark hobby from his friends and family, all while realizing that Harry had his own motives and secrets. Michael C. Hall plays the quirky, offbeat lead character in the series adapted from Jeff Lindsay’s novels. Dexter will return for its fourth season in fall 2009.
