How the West Was Won is a western television series produced by ABC that premiered in 1976.

How the West Was Won is American western TV series loosely based upon a film of the same name. The series followed family of Zebulon Macahan (played by James Arness) as they faced various dangers as they tried to settle in the Old West. Initially started as a miniseries, the show was later turned into a regular TV series.
