The anime Xenosaga is based on the PlayStation 2 video game Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht.

The series chronicles humanity’s space battles against extradimensional beings called the Gnosis.

Xenosaga follows the general events of the video game, with minor changes.
