When Calls the Heart Synopsis

When Calls the Heart is a western drama television series produced by the Hallmark Channel that premiered in January of 2014.

Based on the books written by Janette Oke When Calls the Heart follows the story of Elizabeth Thatcher (played by Erin Krakow), a young teacher who gets assigned to a school in a small mining town of Coal Valley. A high society woman, Elizabeth has to adapt to the life at the frontier that is fraught with challenges.
