Whale Wars Synopsis

Whale Wars is a documentary reality television series produced by Animal Planet that premiered in November of 2008.

Whale Wars follows the founder of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society Paul Watson and his crew aboard ships MV Steve Irwin and MV Bob Baker. The series follows their campaign to stop Japanese whaling at the coast of Antartica (Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary). The Japanese whalers claim it is all in an effort to do legal research, while Watson and his crew claim they are doing commercial whaling. Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is known for its aggressive methods in efforts to stop the Japanese ships.

Whale Wars is currently in its third season.
