We Can Be Heroes: Finding The Australian of the Year was a comedy mockumentary television series produced by the Australian ABC Network that premiered in July of 2005.

Creted by and starring Chris Lilley We Can Be Heroes: Finding The Australian of the Year followed the story of five extraordinary Australians who were nominated by their family and friends for the prestigious title of the Australian of the Year. Lilley played all of the characters in the series. The series resulted in two spin off series – Summer Heights High and Ja’mie: Private School Girl.
