The Straits Synopsis

The Straits is a drama television series produced by Australian ABC Network that premiered in February of 2012.

The Straits follows the story of the Montebello family whose main source of income is smuggling guns into Australia and different exotic wildlife out. When the father of the family Harry (played by Brian Cox) decides he should retire and name the person who will take over the reins his ambitious family members will do anything in their power to outwit each other and take over the family business.

The Straits is currently in its first season.
