The Strain Synopsis

The Strain is a horror television series produced by the FX Network that premiered in July of 2014.

Based on the books written by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan The Strain follows the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (played by Corey Stoll – House of Cards), the head of CDC’s New York team. Goodweather and his team are called to investigate a case of a mysterious plane that has landed at the JFK airport with 200 dead passengers and four survivors. It soon turns out that New York, the rest of the country and the world is under threat of an ancient strain of vampirism.

The Strain is currently in its first season.
