The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes Synopsis

The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes was an anthology crime series produced by ITV that premiered in September of 1971.

Produced by Thames Television, The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes chronicling the adventures of various Victorian private investigators – literary contemporaries of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous creation. The series was based on anthologies by Hugh Greene (brother of Graham Greene).

The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes aired two seasons.
