The Pillars of the Earth Synopsis

The Pillars of the Earth is a historical drama television series produced by Starz Network that premiered in July of 2010.

Based on Ken Follett novel of the same name The Pillars of the Earth is set in 12th century England in the period called the Anarchy.
It follows attempts of three man to build a church in Knightsbridge and their personal lives over the period of 40 years. Some of the more notable members of the cast are Ian McShane, Matthew Macfadyen, Rufus Sewell and Donald Sutherland.

The Pillars of the Earth is currently in its first season.
