The Monkees Synopsis

The Monkees was a situation comedy television series produced by NBC that premiered in September of 1966.

Loosely inspired by the Beatles movie A Hard’ Day’s Night, The Monkees was American sitcom centered on wacky misadventures of a fictional rock’n'roll band. The actors went on and published several albums as the band The Monkees after the series ended.

The Monkees aired two seasons.
