The Guardians Synopsis

The Guardians was a dystopian television series produced by London Weekend Television that premiered in July of 1971.

The Guardians was British TV series about a dystopian near future where economical crisis led to an overthrow of democratic government and the establishment of dictatorship. The series followed various characters – from increasingly desperate Prime Minister Hobson (played by Cyril Luckham) unable to control fascist Guardians to various members of resistance groups fighting the regime.

The Guardians aired one season.
