Spartacus: Gods of the Arena Synopsis

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena is a period drama television series produced by Starz Network that premiered in January of 2011.

Created by Steven S. DeKnight Spartacus: Gods of the Arena is the prequel to Spartacus: Blood and Sand and it tells the story of the city of Capua before Spartacus arrived. Quintus Lentus Batiatus (played by John Hannah) becomes the head of ludus of gladiators. He wants to become famous on his merit rather then live in his father’s reflected glory.

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena is currently in its first season.
