Reno 911! Synopsis
“Reno 911!” is a comedy show that is a satire of “COPS.” Each episode follows the daily lives of fictional police officers who try their best (but usually have a hard time) to enforce the law in Reno, Nevada. All characters on the force are led by the gay Lieutenant Dangle.
The show is known for it’s politically-incorrect humor that often includes jokes about race, sexual orientation, and drugs. While the basic plot for each episode is scripted, most of the dialogue is improvised.
Reno 911! started in July of 2003 on Comedy Central and is currently in it’s sixth season.
