Poldark (2015) Synopsis

Poldark (2015) is a period drama television series produced by BBC One that premiered in March of 2015.

Based on the Poldark novels written by Winston Graham Poldark (2015) follows the story of the titular character (played by Aidan Turner), who returns to Cornwall after fighting in the American War of Independence. Upon his return he learns that his father has passed away and his family’s estate is in ruin while Poldark’s sweetheart is engaged to his cousin. Previous BBC adaptation of Poldark aired in 1975.

Poldark (2015) is currently in its first season.
