Planet of the Apes (1974) Synopsis

Planet of the Apes (1974) was a Science Fiction television series produced by CBS that premiered in September of 1974.

Success of the Planets of the Apes SF film resulted in a TV series of the same name. It followed two astronauts Colonel Alan Virdon (played by Ron Harper) and Major Peter J. Burke (played by James Naughton) who after encountering a time warp during their space missions find themselves stranded on Earth in the far future where apes rule over humans.
