Pie in the Sky Synopsis

Pie in the Sky is a comedy drama television series produced by BBC One that premiered in 1994.

Created by Andrew Payne Pie in the Sky follows the story of Detective Inspector Henry Crabbe (played by Richard Griffiths) who is a detective in the fictional town of Middleton. Highly intelligent and of high moral fiber Crabbe dreams of retiring and heading his own restaurant serving traditional English food. But due to his abilities his superiors are reluctant to let him retire. So he opens up a restaurant called Pie in the Sky where he works as head chef while still solving crimes.
