Moonlight Synopsis
Moonlight
aired on CBS during the 2007-2008 TV season. It starred Alex O’Loughlin as Mick St. John, a 90 year old vampire living in Los Angeles and working as a private investigator. He’s drawn to Beth Turner (Sophia Myles), a reporter whom Mick saved from a kidnapping when she was a child.
The series also starred Jason Dohring as Mick’s friend and fellow vampire Josef Kostan, who has spent his 400 years of immortality amassing great wealth and power. Shannyn Sossamon played the 300 year old Coraline Duvall, who turned Mick into a vampire.
Moonlight premiered to strong ratings in the fall of 2007 and won the People’s Choice Award for Best New Drama. However, the writers’ strike killed its momentum and it was canceled after only 16 episodes. Star Alex O’Loughlin was signed to a CBS development deal. His new series, Three Rivers, is expected to be picked up for the 2009-2010 TV season.
