Mayo Synopsis

Mayo was a detective comedy television series produced by BBC One that premiered in March of 2006.

Based on the Gil Mayo mysteries books written by Marjorie Eccles Mayo followed the story of D.I. Gil Mayo (played by Alistair McGowan), a brilliant detective with a dark sense of humor who solves murder cases together with his team . The cast also included Jessica Oyelowo and Huw Rhys.

Mayo aired one season.
