Madam Secretary Synopsis

Madam Secretary is a political drama television series produced by CBS that premiered in September of 2014.

Created by Barbara Hall Madam Secretary follows the story of Elizabeth Faulkner McCord (played by Téa Leoni), the newly appointed Secretary of State. Former CIA analyst and a college professor Elizabeth accepts the position as a favor to the President, however she encounters opposition to her appointment from some of the other members of the White House staff.

Madam Secretary is currently in its first season.
