Little Mosque on the Prairie Synopsis

Little Mosque on the Prairie is a situation comedy television series produced by CBC that premiered in January of 2007.

Created by Zarqa Nawaz Little Mosque on the Prairie follows everyday lives and problems of a small-town Muslim community centered around imam Amaar Rashid (played by Zaib Shaikh), a former lawyer who managed to establish an improvised mosque within the local Anglican church of Reverend Duncan Magee (played by Derek McGrath). Although not overtly political, the series strives to present Muslims to be just as ordinary folks as everyone else.

Little Mosque on the Prairie is currently in its fifth season, while sixth (and last) season will air in 2012.
