Inspector George Gently Synopsis
Inspector George Gently is a BBC produced crime TV series that debuted in April of 2007.
The story follows Inspector George Gently (played by Martin Shaw) who after his wife gets murdered by a gangster ponders whether or not he should retire but a new murder investigation lures him back into crime investigating. The series is set in 1960s and based on Alan Hunter’s Inspector Gently novels.
Two seasons of Inspector George Gently have aired.
