For The Love of Ada Synopsis

For The Love of Ada is a situation comedy television series produced by ITV that premiered in April of 1970.

Created by Vince Powell and Harry Driver For The Love of Ada follows the story of Ada Cresswell (played by Irene Handl), as a pensioner widow who lives with her daughter and her son-in-law. She meets gravedigger Walter (played by Wilfred Pickles) after visiting her husband’s grave. The two strike up a friendship, which later on turns to romance and eventually marriage.
