Exile Synopsis

Exile is a psychological thriller drama television series produced by BBC One that premiered in May of 2011.

Exile follows the story of Tom Ronstadt (played by John Simm), a former journalist who gets sacked from his job because of his affair with his boss’ wife and heavy drug use. He returns to his childhood home in Lancashire where his sister cares for his dad Samuel (played by Jim Broadbent) who suffers from Alzheimer’s. While going through his things Tom finds an old tape that contains an interview that leads Tom to investigate a mystery from the 90s that led to rift between his and his father.
