Downton Abbey Synopsis

Downton Abbey is a period drama television series produced by ITV that premiered in September of 2010.

Created by Julian Fellowes Downton Abbey follows the story of Crawley family who live in a sprawling Edwardian house called the Downton Abbey during the period before World War I. The series also follows the lives of Crawley’s servants some of who are fiercely protective of the family. The series features a number of notable English actors including Hugh Bonneville and Maggie Smith.

Downton Abbey is currently in its first season.
