Derek Synopsis

Derek is a comedy drama television series produced by Channel 4 that premiered in April of 2012.

Created by and starring Ricky Gervais (The Extras) Derek follows the story of Derek Noakes (played by Gervais himself), a care worker in the home for elderly. Because of his lack of intelligence and social awkwardness Derek is often ridiculed although he has the best intentions.

Derek is currently in its first season.
