
Coal Synopsis
Coal is a documentary television series produced by Spike TV that premiered in March of 2011.
Produced by Thom Beers Coal follows the story of Tom Roberts and Mike Crowder who are business partners and owners of Cobalt Mine located in Westchester, West Virginia. The series follows their struggles to keep the mine open and their employees safe. The series focuses on some of the most dangerous aspects of coal mining – from traditional risks of working so deep underground to the risks of super charged explosions.
Coal is currently in its first season.
