Call the Midwife Synopsis

Call the Midwife is a period medical drama television series produced by BBC One that premiered in January of 2012.

Created by Heidi Thomas and Jack Williams and based on memoirs written by Jennifer Worth Call the Midwife follows the story of Jenny Lee (played by Jessica Raine), who is a newly qualified midwife. She is assigned to Nonnatus House in East London. She thinks it is a small private hospital but it turns out it is a nursing convent.
