Agony Synopsis

Agony is a situation comedy television series produced by ITV that premiered in March of 1979.

Created by Len Richmond and Anna Raeburn Agony follows the story of Jane Lucas (played by Maureen Lipman), a very successful agony aunt who has a radio show at the local London radio station and writes a column for a magazine. Although she is very successful at dishing out advice, Jane’s personal life is in shambles and includes an unreliable husband and an interfering mother.
