Ooyala | New Video Startup from Ex-Google Employees

48 sec read

OoyalaOoyola is a new video startup that is keeping quiet about what it has in the pipeline. The company has been founded by Ex-Google employees and all it is giving away is that the company “is focused on delivering a high-quality, interactive, video-viewing experience”.

Ooyala is based in Mountain View, CA and is also opening sales offices in Los Angeles and New York. The company has stated it has secured a round of large funding which is rumored to be around the 10 million mark.

The only other thing we know is Ooyala is hiring fast. It is advertising 9 job vacancies on its website and I’ve already seen a job ad for the company on Craigslist.

They Still Love Google

According to the company blog the founders are still in love with Google despite leaving the company:

“Anyone from Google knows that we’ve nothing but great things to say about them. In fact, to this day, we continue to happily make the Google kool-aid, having referred more than a couple of engineers to our former employer who were a better fit for the search engine giant than our early stage, start-up. Quite honestly, we love the Goog (and go back often for fun-runs with the Google running team). So, to quell the rumors, all is good in Mountain View.”
