There will be a continued trickle of sports onto the web as the major sports try to further monetize the content without damaging their current lucrative TV and cable contracts. Expect the networks to do a slow switch to the new model with much battling for turf resulting in protective fragmentation and then consolidation of the different cable markets. The content will remain in the hands of the current players and the networks and cable companies will continue to purchase each other and divy up the US internet access.
