We've already seen some stats stating that online video is benefiting from the current writer's strike. It only makes sense to enable people to upload longer videos as long as they don't exceed their storage limits.

Right now, time limits impact those who are trying to either upload existing or create new videos for the site. In our situation, we have business and technology content that typically goes 40-60 minutes in length. The 10 minute limitation would have been undoable. Thankfully, YouTube recognized that people are interested in seeing the full content and enabled us to load 60 minute segments to our Insight24 Channel (http://youtube.com/insight24) earlier this year.

It'll be interesting to see if other sites follow suit. In the end, an audience helps the creators and the sites.
