the operator 11 website is no longer online.when typed in on google and clicked on the link a domain register website comes up.

Hi my name is Jack Maskell and I am 11 years of age, along with my best friend Ryan Winspear and he is 10. Me and Ryan are thinking of starting a web show, that shows kids/Adults doing there favourite hobby or talent and sometimes just talking about funny stuff. Where really excited about the show but it would be great if you could send us a few tips. Your website is great by the way because it teaches people how to make a web show and that is very helpful thanks.

Good article Chris and covers the ground well. I am still at the dabble stage using a combination of ustream and webcamMax. What I want to do though is live interviews via webcams combined with prerecorded video (which webcamMax kinda does). From your article I think I am waiting alongside you for the next version. I want an insert image from interviewee alongside the host image all going out in a live production. A few minutes of chat followed by relevant preedited video and back to live chat again with guest.
No harm in having a wish list though!

@IWANTMYTV – It depends if it is live content or pre-recorded, and where you are sourcing content from (e.g existing videos on YouTube or your own content). And there’s other factors to consider.

My webshow is going to be were people put pictures and videos on it and chat with friends. its for girls only so to be a usgirls member you have to make your own page. for exsample crushes, home, embarrising times, emmas page, and shopping. also pictures and videos page and chatting page.

@abigail: You can get a free website such as one from blogger.com. It is hosted by Google and will have an address like: yoursite.blogspot.com

Also the cost to start your own website is about $10 to register a domain and $10/month hosting. That gives you your own domain like yoursite.com and full control over your site.

Either way the cost of setting up a website is not really an issue.
