We had a similar problem with a TV network called Worship, in the early 1990's. The programming was valuable and brought comfort and entertainment to a lot of people, but was a huge cash drain. We monitized it by offer 12 hours a day to direct response marketing companies. Youtube could do the same. Offer direct marketing companies space for a revenue share. Set very thing up through google, especially the money. People see something they buy it through google and google credits the advertiser less their share.
