The fact that this man committed suicide while others were actually telling him to do it is pathetic. What is wrong with you people? A HUMAN BEING killed himself because a bunch of insecure assholes think that they’re all high and mighty if they can put another person down. I’ve lost 7 very important people in my life due to suicide. All the people who were egging this man on to commit suicide do NOT even deserve to breathe. I hope they all feel like worthless pieces of shit. Normally, I’m not one to preach but I am today because it’s time that the world opened their eyes and realized that no one deserves to die. Who cares if they’re different or socially awkward or a different color or a different religion than you? That is what makes the world so amazing. Without diversity, the world would be a completely boring shithole full of inconsiderate, condescending dickwads like those people who played a role in this man’s death. I come from a Southern background with a southern family and yes, I have encountered racist people my whole life. But my mama taught me to love everybody, no matter what. We are sharing this world together and there is nothing that you can do about that. Discrimination is wrong ; Bullying is wrong ; Suicide is wrong ; Hate is wrong. Everyone needs to step up and actually show the world that this isn’t right. It has to stop.

I think they have to do it like this: Have a record of contact details for everyone broadcasting. Phone number and verified address. If someone reports a stream like this, they can alert the police immedately. IF you don’t want to provide that information, you’re not allowed to broadcast, period.

Dear WebTVWire,

well, it seems as if there is a total abdication of responsibility from those form members who “egged him on to do it.” There is the possibility that he would not have so easily without some encouragement. The technology is absolutely not to blame, but the use of it by the above-mentioned forum members for encouraging this most certainly is. Technology is morally neutral, people are not (for good or bad).

I agree that it isn’t the technology that killed this young man, but when you’re feeling that depressed, it can’t help to have others encouraging you to end it. It reminds me of a few years back, in the Seattle area, when a woman threating to jump from a viaduct, during the evening rush hour, was encouraged by the drivers to jump. They wanted to get home, but the police had blocked the highway, while they tried to talk to her. She jumped. Whose fault is it? Not the technology’s fault. Some of the fault has to fall on those people that encourage these lost people to die.
