Listasaurus Adds Video To Classified Ads

41 sec read

listasaurus.jpgOnline classified ad site Listasaurus has got the jump on its ubiquitous contemporaries (Craigslist and Gumtree in the US and the UK respectively), by allowing users to add videos to their listings.

Although not the first video ad site, Listasaurus allows users to choose whether or not to use text, video, photos or all three which is certainly handy.

Melanie Heywood, founder and CEO of Listasaurus.com commented on the addition:

Adding the video option to our listings was the next logical progression. Web video is popular, and offers a layer of detail you simply can’t achieve with traditional print classifieds or directories. Not to mention, viewers are 82% more likely to purchase an item or service after watching a video presentation, so we hope it will help sellers and businesses achieve more success.

That’s fighting talk right there and the benefits are clear for when you are buying a car; a 100 pack of inflatable shoelaces however, not so much, but we’re being pedantic.

Seems strange that some other much bigger sites in the retail sector haven’t embraced user created video ads yet *all eyes on eBay and Amazon here*.
