Jeremy Allaire recently discussed the future of internet television during his Keynote speech at the Fall 2006 Video on the Net Conference. You can watch the 30 minute video of him below.

Jeremy was unsurprisingly focused on the Brightcove product, and I must admit, if I was a serious content creator I would be signing up and using Brightcove quicker than a cheetah that’s just been kicked in the balls.

Brightcove offers so much to anyone who has quality content to post on the internet with more monetization options than anywhere else and clear control over how the content is displayed and where it is syndicated. Much of the Jeremy’s talk discusses what Brightcove does, and if you have listened to any of Jeremy’s talks before it may sound familiar.

While giving a brief introduction to the industry Jeremy stated the internet only accounts for only 0.1% of the global TV distribution industry and described how internet TV will be having a much bigger impact in the future as it heads for the living room TV.

Jeremy also talked about the new pay per view service that Brightcove currently has in beta which allows video producers to sell content for a fixed price on demand.

The other topics that Jeremy covered was that of user generated content (something which Brightcove seems slightly less concerned with compared to professional content), and how to target micro audiences. However, rather than discuss everything you may as well just watch Jeremy in action right here:
