New media allows more democratisation of the narrative that is broadcast or published. The fact is that the fourth estate should report the news from all sides and points of view but increasingly the 'old' media is not doing this job adequately. Just look at how they have reported the conflict in Gaza, the South Ossetia conflict, the war in Iraq and you can see why so many people are now going online to research other points of view in order to ascertain what really is going on. the BBC should wise up and be more balanced or loose its audience The BBc like the rest of the ‘old’ media, hopefully will adapt and learn from the new media.
