		<description>I have used third-party software to download YouTube videos, and I&#039;ll say this: it ain&#039;t pretty. 

I applaud Google giving people a clean an cleanly legal way to do this, and I applaud this as a creative new revenue stream. Downloading the viseos was always a desire, and since you can watch them for free online, it seems fair to charge for an added functionality. If they keep the purchasing as simple as iTunes does, they&#039;ll have good uptake.

There&#039;s a lot to be said for the notion that people aren&#039;t pirates and thieves of music and video content because they want to be, but rather because there is not yet a fair and functional model that that serves their needs.</description>
