Flight of the Conchords synopsis

Flight of the Conchords is a television series that debuted on HBO in 2007. Flight of the Conchords is a Grammy award winning New Zealand comedy duo that consists of Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie who star in this fictionalized account as they try to make it big in New York.

The series is currently in it’s second season while the Flight of the Conchords have announced an US Tour that will commence after second season ends.

Breaking Bad Synopsis

Breaking Bad is a drama that debuted on cable network AMC. The story centers around Walter White (played by Bryan Cranston), a high school chemistry teacher who is not only going through a midlife crisis, he also has a handicapped son and a pregnant wife.

Walter White has also been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
In order to provide for his family, Walter White teams up with his former student and turns into a meth dealer.

Breaking Bad won 2 Emmy awards and received critical acclaim. The series was renewed and second season premiere is on March 8th 2009.

Lie to Me Synopsis

Tim Roth (Pulp Fiction, Funny Games) stars in Lie to Me as Dr. Cal Lightman, an expert at body language who can tell if a subject is lying or telling the truth via facial expressions and body language.

Lightman heads The Lightman Group, comprised of him and his team of assistants, and takes on cases for clients that require investigating potential deception.

The rest of the team includes colleague/assistant Gillian Foster (Kelli Williams), former TSA agent Ria Torres (Monica Raymund), and Eli Loker (Brendan Hines).

Knight Rider Synopsis

A revamp of the classic 1980s TV series, Knight Rider stars Justin Bruening as Michael Knight, son of the original series’ Michael Knight (as played by David Hasselhoff) and Val Kilmer as the voice of KITT, the talking car.

As vital parts of Knight Industries, a major government contractor, Michael and KITT take on various missions to stop the bad guys for the greater good.

Meanwhile, as a formal Special Forces soldier, Michael Knight must struggle with his participation in a top secret government mission of which he has no memory..

Kath & Kim Synopsis

Based on the hugely popular Australian sitcom of the same name, Kath & Kim stars Molly Shannon and Selma Blair as the titular simpletons living in suburban Florida.

Kath is a divorcee in her forties on a quest  for love and Kim, her provocatively-dressed daughter, has just moved back in after splitting up from her equally simple husband.

Problems arise when Kath starts dating Phil (John Michael Higgins), a sandwich shop owner at the local mall, and Kim does not approve. Phil attempts to get along with Kim, and strife and risque humor ensue.

Dollhouse Synopsis

Dollhouse is the brand new sci-fi series by Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It stars Eliza Dushku as Echo, one of many dolls from the Dollhouse, who have their personalities wiped. They are imprinted with other personalities and hired out for engagements, ranging from romantic fantasies to criminal activities.

Things begin changing when Echo starts to remember her original personality and past imprintings. Complicating matters is Paul Ballard (Tahmoh Penikett), an FBI agent investigating the Dollhouse, which nobody else in the FBI believes even exists. There’s also Alpha, a doll who escaped after slaughtering many in the Dollhouse.

Dollhouse is Whedon’s first TV series since 2002’s Firefly. It airs on Friday nights at 9:00 pm Eastern/8:00 Central on FOX. Despite heavy advance buzz and a large promotional push, its ratings have been low.
