May 8th, 2007 at 9:24 amI was invited to do a “testdrive” of the BBC TV programme dowloading. I must say it is cumbersome, it stays on your PC for a short time, and only a few programmes are available.
I have downloaded a couple of programmes but had to do and re-do each one, as at present there are a lot of errors. And – it looks like, because of the decision made recently, they are not going to improve the Test Run.
I do not think I shall use it much at all when it becomes generally available: it is too cumbersome, and doing it on tape or DVD Recorder is, as you said earlier, much easier AND YOU CAN KEEP IT FOR EVER. I record all “Doctor Who” episodes as I’m a fan of that show.

May 8th, 2007 at 2:17 pmThanks for the insight into iPlayer application Sulamite.
If its anything like the Channel 4 application for VoD I know I won’t be using it. Sticking to a DVR is the best option
